RYN Academy trains, assesses and qualifies teachers, then connects qualified teachers with learners and with the schools, companies and education organisations we work with.
What RYN Academy does
- We train teachers through the RYN Academy teacher training programme.
- We assess each applicant’s English, teaching knowledge, judgement and subject knowledge.
- We qualify the teachers who meet our standard and add them to our qualified teacher pool.
- We recommend qualified teachers to learners and partner organisations, and manage the relationship.

- Teachers who have completed RYN Academy teacher training
- Teachers who can teach confidently online in clear English
- Teachers with a reliable internet connection, a computer and a quiet place to teach
Requirements
Qualifications
A degree, diploma or teaching certificate in education or your subject. Tell us about any TEFL, TESOL or other certificates.
Teaching experience
Classroom or online teaching experience. We ask how many years, which age groups and what you have taught.
RYN training
You must have completed RYN Academy teacher training. If you trained with a different email, have your certificate number ready.
Subjects and skills
English, Maths, Business English, French, Yoruba, digital skills and exam preparation, with strong spoken and written English.

Record a short sample lesson so we can see how you teach.

RYN review
Our team reviews your results, documents and sample lesson.

Qualified
Qualified teachers join the RYN teacher pool and receive a teacher account.
About the assessment
- Most questions are multiple choice and are marked automatically.
- A few questions ask for a short written answer, marked by RYN.
- The assessment is timed. When time runs out, your saved answers are submitted.
- You can follow your status in your applicant account at every step.
After you qualify
- RYN recommends qualified teachers to schools, companies and other organisations based on what they need.
- RYN also matches qualified teachers with private learners on the platform.
- Your role, schedule and rate are agreed with RYN before you start.
- You record the classes you teach in your teacher account, and RYN pays you for confirmed classes.
